The Beats Studio Pro ($349) is Apple’s answer to the Sony WH-1000XM5 and Bose QC Ultra. After Apple acquired Beats in 2014, the brand has slowly been integrated into the Apple ecosystem. The Studio Pro is the most Apple-focused Beats headphone yet — with USB-C audio, Apple Lossless support, and seamless pairing with iPhones. Here’s how it stacks up against the competition.
Sound Quality
Custom 40mm drivers with frequency response 20Hz-20kHz. Sound is bass-forward — classic Beats tuning. Apple Lossless support via USB-C (up to 24-bit/48kHz). Bluetooth 5.3 with AAC and LDAC (via firmware update). The Studio Pro sounds better than previous Beats headphones — the bass is tighter and more controlled, not boomy. In blind tests, it sounds 70% as good as the Sony XM5 for music quality.

Here’s my take: the Beats Studio Pro ($349) is for iPhone users who want Apple ecosystem integration without buying AirPods. The seamless pairing and Find My support are genuine advantages. But for pure sound quality and ANC, the Sony WH-1000XM5 ($349) is objectively better. The Beats are a lifestyle purchase — you’re paying for the Apple integration, not the audio performance.
